Chibuku cider is a South African brew made from sorghum molasses and mixed with non-alcoholic apple cider.

Being a fan of sweeter brews, I found the taste of this beer to be light and crisp with a sweetness comparable to a Woodchuck hard cider.

The flavor is reminiscent of Woodchuck, but as I quaffed my sample, I tasted something else I had a hard time placing.

Finally it hit me. The Alcatraz Brewing Chibuku cider tasted like a cross between Woodchuck and a sweet white wine. Sounds strange, but tastes good.
