Alexander Keith's IPA review
I particularly like the labels on Alexander Keith's India Pale Ale, as it reminds me of home.
As a native Nova Scotian I am partial to all beers exported from that beautiful province, but Keith's is definitely my favourite.
The beer is definitely popular here in Ontario and it would be a challenge not to find it in a bar or pub that has more than one stool.
It's ideal for mass appeal as, unlike a traditional IPA, its bitterness has been toned down.
Unless you are a novice beer connoisseur, you will appreciate the full flavour and easy drinking taste of a cold Alexander Keith's IPA.

Alexander Keith's

Back in 1989, on a visit to Halifax, I stopped in at the Alexander Keith's Nova Scotia Brewery to sample their IPA. Now that's good beer, so they say and so I say.
Originally brewed for British troops serving in India, I taste how refreshing this fine pale ale would have tasted on a hot summer's day and in my mind's ear I hear our grateful British friends murmuring "Bless those Canadians, bless their spirit".
As the cool, crisp, clean-tasting ale slides down my throat I think of Alexander Keith, the man, the brewer, the mayor of Halifax who still celebrates his birthday on October 5th every year.
I wonder what I'm going to have to do to have people celebrating my 212th birthday. Brew a great beer, I guess. For now, I'll just have another cold one out of the fridge, do a little research. Alexander Keith's IPA, now being exported to BC. Bless Alexander, bless his spirit. Cheers!
