Thanks to Douglas Gloag for this beer (and many others!).
Pours rich dark brownish-black with a pale, small, but fluffy head. Smells sweetish and malty, vaguely of dark fruits.
Quite bitter initially, then becomes sweetly chocolate in the mouth. At the swallow, a sharp bitterness with coffee tones comes through. The finish slowly sweetens from the bitter lowpoint.
