As a fellow curmudgeon, I've always sympathized with Scrooge. He's gotten a bad rap over the years and it's high time he gets his own brew.
Wychwood's Christmas ale this year, Bah Humbug, is a cinnamon spiced English strong ale (6.0% ABV) that comes bottled with another fine example of the beautiful label art the Oxforshire brewery is famous for.
Pours a deep ruby mahogany with a very small off-white head. Aroma of pear and cinnamon, flavours of apple, banana, and hints of cinnamon and cocoa with a lingering banana and cinnamon aftertaste.
Very refreshing, surprisingly light, and quite a lovely holiday ale with some interesting flavours.
Even the impossible can be found on eBay, if you are patient in your searching.
Try searching for Russian River
(you'll need to narrow down by beer name, ex. Pliny, Damnation, Temptation), Black Albert
or any of the BIG beers. Don't overlook eBay's Belgium Beer results either...
