Bard's Tale beer: Dragon's Gold
gluten-free lager
review

I recently learned that my
brother-in-law was diagnosed with something called Celiac
Disease, an intestinal disorder that prevents sufferers
from tolerating
gluten, which is found in wheat, rye and barley.
The diagnosis meant that Bruce would no longer be able to enjoy his beloved Sam Adams.

Trying to alleviate some of Bruce's stress, I turned to the source of all knowledge (Google) to find out if in fact there was any way you could make beer that was gluten-free.
What I discovered was that there is an entire cottage industry of gluten free beer, including gluten free beer festivals!
After some research, I decided to buy my depressed beer buddy a six pack of Dragon's Gold, a gluten-free beer brewed by Bard's Tale beer.
I wasn't expecting much, but was hopeful for something that tasted at least a little something like beer.
You can imagine my surprise when I took my first long draw and realized that this was in fact a pretty good brew! A crisp lager that definitely has some body and character, I was impressed by its overall quality. I felt like if I had to drink this beer everyday, it would be okay.
Dragon's Gold is a very servicable beer in general and, if you're on a gluten free diet, an absolute miracle.
