Many recipes call for the addition of wine, but for years, one of the most overlooked liquids used for cooking has been beer. Let's explore how cooking with beer can enhance the flavor of your food.

Preparation
time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 70 minutes

Difficulty:
4 cups flour
2 tbsp baking powder
¼ cup sugar
2 tsp salt
2 eggs, slightly beaten
12 oz beer (do not use light beer)
Mix flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Add beer and egg and stir. Place in greased 9x5 inch loaf pan. Bake at 375 degrees until done (about 1 hour and 10 minutes). Remove from pan and cool.
