Bell's Oberon
Bell's Brewery, Kalamazoo, MI
Spring is upon us, which means baseball, grilling, going to the lake, or for those of us up north; going outside in general. Most importantly, spring brings us spring seasonals.
Like any other season, the brews come out in full force with plenty of styles to choose from. Wheats, Ambers, Pale Ales; the options seem endless.

I recently had the chance to try Bell's Oberon Ale. Brewed in the American wheat style with Saaz hops. Oberon holds true to the wheat standard with a slightly sweet beginning adding a hint of spice as it leaves your tongue.
Unlike many wheat beers on the market, this beer has more of a hoppy pale taste. Oberon is a highly drinkable seasonal with good character and a smooth, refreshing taste.
I would highly recommend Oberon to anyone who is looking for a beer to relax with, grill with, or for those who might just be getting started in drinking craft beers.
Luckily, for fans of Oberon or those who want to try it, availability runs from March 30th through October. Serve cold in a pint glass, and don't forget to agitate the yeast in bottom of the bottle, this will allow for all of the hidden notes to be exposed. Best paired with spicy foods (Latin or Thai) and Poultry. Enjoy!
