One of my favorite pubs has always been Deschutes Public House in Bend, Oregon but now I have to reevaluate and say that Deschutes is not even #1 in Bend any more.

The new #1 Bend brewpub and new into my top five overall belongs to Tonya Cornett and the Bend Brewing Company. BBC was just listed as the 2008 World Beer Cup Best Brewer & Brewpub. This is a very prestigious award and well deserved.

The beers are all extraordinary, especially the IPA. I got an opportunity to have a short chat with Tonya and there may be some bottles in the near future. Now they only bottle one beer for the Christmas Holiday.
