Brazilian Skol beer. Brazilians and cold beer go together like anybody else and cold beer

It's hard to go anywhere in Brazil without seeing Skol.
Whether it's an advertisement, a bikini-clad Brazilian babe holding a bottle, or a vendor selling ice-cold cans on the side of the highway, as one of the most popular beers in Brazil, Skol is everywhere and anywhere (Skol's parent company owns 83% of the Brazilian beer market).
But is it that good? I am going to say 'yes'! Sure, it's a macrobrew and doesn't have some rare and rich flavor, it's just good!
It's no wonder every day you will see Brazilians enjoying Skol at the beach-walk kiosks and downtown street bars.
The clear and crisp pilsner goes down smooth, with a perfect amount of carbonation to give it a little bite and just enough flavor to ease your hunger pains.
It's a simple, no frills, domestic beer that hits the spot when you need it to.
Brazilians love cold beer. And for good reason. It's hot here!
An interesting feature of Brazilian Skol beer bottles is part of the label that turns blue and says "Skol Gelada" to tell you when the beer is cold enough to drink. How handy!
Although a little more expensive than other Brazilian domestics, it's not going to send you into bankruptcy.
Brazilian Skol beer costs about R$1.09 (that's Brazilian reais) per can and a little less per bottle. That's about US$0.50.
If you are on a long drive, you can get a can on the side of the freeway for about R$2.00 and that's the same for any vendors on the beach. So come to Brazil and drink a Skol (or ten)!
