Cluster Hops arose from hybridization of a variety of English hops and American male hops. Although it is primarily used as a bittering hop, it can also give a floral, spicy and black currant aroma so it can be considered as dual purpose.
It is also known as “Golden Cluster” and is used as the sole bittering hop in the iconic Australian Beer, Castlemaine XXXX. Cluster Hops are a good substitute for Brewer’s Gold and are typically used in Ale, Lager, and Stout.
One package of RiteBrew - Cluster Pellet Hops contains eight (8) ounces of cluster pellet hops packaged in an oxygen barrier Mylar-foil bag with a zipseal to preserve its freshness. Average Alpha: 5%
