The people who brew Corona clearly feel that the time has come for them to take on some of the sacred cows of the brewing industry.

Case in point: this otherwise breezy T-shirt, available from Spencers Online, which showcases Corona in the kind of tropical environment where it might provide refreshment.

There's a parrot who is clearly having a good time, maybe he's just learned a rude word. A cheery slogan informs us that it is time to relax.

But wait, what's that in the background? A toucan? The legendary symbol of Guinness? Is Corona calling Guinness out? Is it, as the kids are so fond of saying, "on"? I fear that it is.

It seems hard to believe that there isn't room enough in this world for a Mexican Lager and an Irish Stout to coexist, but I guess that's just the kind of pickle we're in. Once the dust has settled, I'm pretty sure that we'll all be happy drinking the pale brown GuiRona that will be the result.
