Dead Frog Pale ale: extra points for the name
Dead Frog Brewery, Chilliwack, BC, Canada
This Pale Ale was a standout for me at Hopscotch 2006. It had a delicious hop aroma, coupled with a nice balance between malty tones and a moderate bitterness.
It fit well into my Pale Ale category by being somewhere between gold and amber in colour, while achieving a good balance of malt and hops. And I admit, the name is pretty original, so they got an extra 2 points there.
