Delirium Tremens beer

The cream of the crop, the best thing that ever happened to wheat, was the Delirium Tremens beer. I don't even know where to start, other than if you like delicious, get your hands on this beer.
It shines golden like misbegotten treasure and has a rich mouthfeel. I can't even describe the first taste (let "really, really good" suffice), but the aftertaste is fruity and pleasantly hangs around for quite a while.
At 8.5% ABV, it warmed the belly considerably and basically left you with the feeling that if this beer existed, the world couldn't be all bad. The "Confrerie van de Roze Olifant" (Brotherhood of the Pink Elephant) was created just to celebrate and promote this beer- and possibly to win the world title of Coolest Brotherhood Name.
Speaking of world titles, I'm not the only one who thinks the Delirium Tremens rocks. It was named the "Best Beer in the World" in 1998 at the World Beer Championships. Well done to the Cheeky Monk for serving it.
