Our domestic beer calorie guide is indispensible reading for beer fans with one eye on the future (and the other eye on the scales).

Why should you care about the calories in the beer you consume?

A regular habit of drinking one beer per night could have a significant impact on your long-term weight. The difference between the most calorific and the least calorific of domestic beers (currently 106 cals per 330ml bottle) works out to more than 35,000 calories per year at one 330ml bottle of beer per day.

Now that's what I call drive-through. To gain one pound in weight, assuming no change in exercise, you need to consume 3,500 extra calories.

So by drinking a lighter choice in the above example, you'd save 11lbs of weight gain over the course of a year.

That's why it makes sense to care about those domestic beer calorie amounts!
