A sour ale, top-fermented and aged in oak casks. Just the kind of beer I would have assumed was OFF a few years ago and thrown down the sink, but now I really enjoy this style.

***belgian-beer-ebay.shtml2***Smells sweet and alcoholic, like apples gone sour in storage. Somehow this is an Autumnal smell. It makes you think of winter drawing in.
Tons of sourness in the mouth, gives way to sweet and sour finish with a long lingering slight sourness. Not a beer you should give to somebody in the hope of converting them to better-tasting ales: one somebody has to discover and acquire a taste for on their own. I will definitely buy this again!
