Efes beer is a Turkish beer and is mainly available in Turkey. A very few bars sell it in England I have found that it is mainly available in J.D Weatherspoons and Lloyds No.1 bars.

Efes beer usually costs about £1.80 for a 500ml bottle and is 5.0% ABV. It is a beer to be enjoyed slowly with friends, savouring the taste.

Weatherspoons describe it as "an elegant, full-bodied lager which is rich in foam, balancing slight toffee maltiness with a soft apple-like fruitiness and a gentle hoppy finish."

This beer leaves a excellent aftertaste which leaves you refreshed and ready for another.

Can't wait to get to Dalyan again in September as there are numerous bottles of Efes Dark Brown with my name on them!! Good job you cannot buy it in the UK or I could end up with a serious drink problem!!

my dear i just buye bouiteil of efes beer in ferikoy and drink in the bouitel and the end
find cocroch in the bouiteil
so am very worry ,i hope mothing will happi to me .

Efes beer can be found in almost every country in Europe. It's infact the 5th biggest brewery in Europe. You must walk outside your own neigbourhood,,

i love this beer, had it in turkey this year, have been able to buy from asda supermarket , but i think they onle had a limited supply and havent been able to find any over last few weeks, does anyone know of anywhere can buy in birmingham , england :)

EFES EFFING LOVELY

EFES Pilsner is a great beer. Very glad to be able to buy it in bars in the UK now. Looking forward to buying it in the supermarket maybe one day soon. Glad it's imported and not made under license as this would seriously ruin a good beer.
BTW I have tried EFES DARK in Turkey and it is bloody awful, not a patch on English dark beers. EFES Pilsner is definitely where it's at!

I just got back from Turkey and loved the Efes Dark. On other sites, the beer doesn't always get high marks, but those are from a few years ago. No basis for comparison, but I bet their product is improving. I'm really disappointed I can't buy it in the US. I just assumed I could because it was so good. One disclaimer: I didn't like the Pilsen half as much. Tasted like any American light beer to me.

EFES surprised me

Just got back from Turkey in July 2009. Visited Boldrum and Istanbul. Decided to try their loca brew. Was shocked at how good the EFES was. I tried the pilsner only because that's what I like. Dropped many lira on it after that. Bring it to the eastern shore, great taste and smoothness.

I was in Turkey for over seven weeks while my ship was in the shipyard. Efes tasted good the first day i had it because I hadn't had a beer in about 5 weeks. But after a few days we only went to bars that didn't serve efes because I thought it sucked and had a bad after taste.

i was in istanbul for the first time in 2004,and being a grogger i decided to try the" national beer of Turkey, Efes. i had no expectation and was absolutely floored by the refreshingly clean taste and smoothness of this nationalal treasure of a beer.i worked in an exclusive nightclub which offered a couple of american beers,but none of the imports from Holland or Germany that
one would expect in a similarly styled club in the states.Efes is a pleasure to drink and i found it to be light years ahead of stateside beers in the same price range,and equally as enjoyable as any import ive tasted.my Turkish friends also made me aware of the tremendous amount of sponsorship given to sporting,and other events by the brewery.ive searched hi and lo in N.J.for this lost friend Mr.Efes without sucess.
as if i needed an excuse to go back to that beautiful country and all those gorgeous women

Dark the Best

Just got back from Turkey...Efes Dark was the best ever, unfortunately their wine sucks, but they can make a good beer. Pilsner was quite alright also.
