I didn't recall having visited this brewery before so I stopped on my way through an extremely smoky Flagstaff on the way to Phoenix.
Most of the reviews of this place aren't that flattering and I will have to add my review to that list. Some of the other reviews stated that the french fries are worth trying so that is what I did.
The menu shows them as crispy “Belgian style” frites. Unfortunately I have never eaten Belgian frites with Cajun spice and only one dipping sauce. At least they were crispy and freshly hot.
As for the four house beers on during my visit: Golden, ESB, Weiss and Porter, I will say that they were all pretty common. The ESB was too malty and the porter was more of a brown.
The Weiss was true to style and not bad and the Golden was the best of the day.
Flagstaff Brewing also had several guest taps though all were from California and not Arizona. There was also a small collection of canned micros.
They have music several times a week, a nice patio area and an attached coffee shop. All of Flagstaff's breweries are within a short walking distance so find one of them, park and walk to all three.
