The Flying Dog Classic Pale Ale isn’t kidding about the "Classic" part. It's a role model for what a craft beer should taste like.

The New York Times and Stuff Magazine (two equally reputable media sources) named it one of the top beers in the nation in 2005. It's brewed with (and I quote) "a shitload of Cascade hops" and has a lovely rich amber color.

It reaches the elusive happy medium of being full-bodied and richly flavored while still being an easy-drinking brew.

Even the impossible can be found on eBay, if you are patient in your searching. Try searching for Russian River (you'll need to narrow down by beer name, ex. Pliny, Damnation, Temptation), Black Albert, or any of the BIG beers. Don't overlook eBay's Belgium Beer results either...
