Double Dog Double Pale Ale

The Double Dog Double Pale started out as part of the Wild Dog series. This is yet another level of specialty brewing: they are 50 barrel batches of experimental beers that are packaged in 750ml champagne bottles with corks.
Why doesn't Flying Dog sell them in sixers? Because it would be against your (or Andre the Giant's) best interests to drink more than 750ml of it in one sitting.
Look for Whiskey Aged Imperial Ale bottles to hit the shelves in mid-April. But back to the DDDP, it was so popular as a Wild Dog that the 10.5% ABV ale was put into regular production. It has more hops than Allen Iverson with hints of raisin and citrus. Try it... but not while operating machinery, chatting up a member of the opposite sex, or wearing shoes you have to tie.
