Fumisterie is the second hemp beer I've had in Quebec and definitely the best

5.5% ABV, this is a beer flavoured with hemp. It's not the first hemp beer I've tried (there's one by another Montreal microbrewery which I really didn't much care for), but it will set the standard for any I try in the future.
It pours a deep reddish brown, with a fluffy head that sticks around with persistence. The smell is lightly citrus and malty. Fumisterie is nicely balanced, with slightly sour notes and a lingering bitter finish from the hemp.
The best part for me is the initial bite, which is clean, fruity, very slightly sweet and quickly cut with hops. I'd like to try this on tap the next time I'm in the city of Montreal.
