There aren't many things to do in Citrus County, FL after a certain time at night. The sidewalks tend to roll up at about 8pm in many communities.

Nightlife was inconsequential. That has changed with the reopening of Gabby's in Crystal River.

Gabby's was a bar/restaurant combo adjacent to the Crystal River mall for a decade. The food was much more varied than traditional "mall fare" and at night, the small bar stayed open until 2am.

Now after several years on hiatus, owner David Ivory has reopened his family business with a few changes. The bar has been expanded to several times its former size. A section of pool tables have been added, in addition to a VIP area. a DJ booth and a stage with bubble lights.

Bar fare includes a hamburger for small change as well as the prerequisite wings (which are arguably the best in the county) and fries. But this bar menu has surprises beyond the usual suspects. More creative appetizers that are served in the restaurant and Gyros can also be had. The wings are arguably the best in the county.

Despite this being a bar/nightclub, there is no fooling around. The security is top notch and the fun always stays grown up but clean. Gabby's is a great place for people watching after 11pm. And the wings are arguably the best in the county.
