Diana Diller was outraged that a Brit was chosen as honorary Delegate. Here's hoping she can do a better job...

Diana Diller is our Beer Delegate for Germany. As you can see, she can hold her beer AND drink it at the same time.

The United Nations of Beer is proud to present Diana Diller, official UNOB Beer Delegate for Germany!

The idea of Andy Thorne, a Brit, representing her country got our Di a little hot under the collar.

You can understand that, I guess...

So moved was she that she applied for his position, and given that Andy's been AWOL since August, we decided to appoint her in his place. Read on!

Diana's proposal speech

A Brit to represent the homecountry of beer? My Germany? I am a Bavarian woman, a Franconian, to be specific.

The place where I live is surrounded by not less than 24(!) breweries and I sucked up beer with the mother's milk.

I know, my Lagerbier, my Weizenbier, my Kellerbier, my Bockbier and my Pilsener.

I know (and detest) 'Kölsch' (fruit beer), Berliner Kindl, Becks, Heineken and Carlsberg.

Ah, Deutscheland! I enjoy Christmas beer, Octoberfest beer and Holiday beer and I've made the mistake to drink 'piss beer' like Warsteiner and Göttinger.

A Brit to represent Germany? I think not!
