Why do I throw up after I drink beer?

If you're a Celiac (or Coeliac), you are allergic to gluten. Ask your doctor to give you a test to confirm it. Puts a damper on the idea of enjoying gluten-loaded food like, er, beer...

At the United Nations of Beer, we believe everybody should have the right and the ability to enjoy a tasty brew or three. So, without further ado, we're proud to present the UNOB guide to gluten free beer, lager and ale.

If you can't find something to tempt you here, you probably aren't human! Celiacs or Coeliacs, you too can get happily toasted every Friday night, without any nasty side effects.

American gluten-free beer

Bard's Tale Dragon's Gold is a gluten-free lager.
Bard's Tale Dragon's Gold: click for review

Bard's Tale Beer have brewed a cracking gluten-free in Dragon's Gold Gluten-Free beer (click for full review). The beer claims to be the world's first gluten-free beer to be brewed with sorghum.

WTF issorghum? No, not something you'd complain about to your dentist! Sorghum, also known as jowar, is a grass used for food, fodder, and the production of alcoholic beverages (a much higher cause, we're sure you'd agree). It's especially good at surviving in drought-prone areas.

Canadian gluten-free beer

La Bieres de la Nouvelle France ("the beers of 'new France'"), a Quebec-based brewery, has launched its own gluten-free ale, La Messagere. It claims that this brew is the first gluten-free ale in North America, the result of three years of R&D.

A full review will follow of both the original and red versions of this beer. Sad to say, our opinion of La Messagere is not going to be too positive. In short, it's awful!

Prize-winning gluten free beer, lager and ale
