Any guide to California breweries is going to be a work in progress. The state has a long history of beer brewing. More recently, it has led the way in micro brews and organic beers and there are many small breweries operating in the region.
Throughout 2007, we're going to actively promote Californian brewers, wherever possible by visiting them and tasting all their beer! If you would like to accept this tricky assignment and live near to a brewery (particularly outside the Humboldt County region), please write to us at Last Orders and volunteer.
The list below will gradually be updated with photos, more links and, when we, or YOU, have finally tasted and rated them, beer reviews.
Reviews and related articles are linked in the usual blue underline Hyperlink style. As more reviews come in, we'll add them to the guide. Thanks for your help in advance!
