Before the invention of the clock, the only way to tell the time was to use the sun, which meant going outside.
For people like me with red hair and pale, translucent skin, there is nothing worse than being out under the glare of the hideous, burning sun.
I have a lot more research to do before I am able to destroy the sun, so I am thankful that "clocks" allow me to tell time from the comfort of my own, cave-like home.
Neon is one of the noble gases, which is to say that it thinks it is better than the other elements on the periodic table and avoids forming bonds with them, preferring to maintain its gaseous purity.
When you capture it in a tube and pass an electric current through it, it glows with a livid light. By mixing different noble gases in different proportions, you can get different colors, but the class neon light glows orange-red.
The only way to describe the idea of combining a clock with a neon light is: "Pure Genius". Unfortunately, this phrase has been trademarked by the Guinness beer people, so the only way that neon clocks can be shipped is if they prominently feature Guinness branding. So here we are. A Guinness Neon Clock with "Pure Genius" written on it. Enjoy.
