Guinness Pint Luggage Tag
(Amazon)
You know that your set of black rolling luggage is almost identical to the luggage carried by every other person on the plane, right? If you have any hope of spotting your luggage in time to get out baggage claim before the last of the two cabs serving the entire airport have been taken, then you need an identifying mark of some kind.
Spray painting "MY LUGGAGES" on the side is effective, but crude and lacking in style. My preferred solution is to decorate every suitcase with a one-of-a-kind needlepoint portrait of one of the members of ABBA. If your family requires more than four suitcases, however, you will need to find another solution. Also, the ABBA thing is mine. Hands off.
A Guinness pint luggage tag is subtle, but easy for the trained eye to spot. The only disadvantage is that some airport sniffer dogs have a weakness for Guinness beer, and if they spot the tag then they may tear your luggage apart looking for stout. At least, that is what they told me happened to my luggage that one time. I am sure the airline would not lie...
