The Guinness Heritage series of ads have become classics. In fact, there is a law in Ireland that every pub serving Guinness must display at least one reproduction Heritage poster in the public bar area.
The law has been extended to all FAKE Irish pubs, which must display at least a dozen such items, or be accused of being untrue to the spirit of Irish drinking establishments.
The seal is one of the nicer animals illustrated in the series, which also includes an ostrich, elephant, the infamous toucan and many others.
