High Altitude Pale ale from Blue Corn Cafe: no NZ rugby player, but firm
High Altitude Pale ale
Blue Corn Cafe, Santa Fe, NM
The Blue Corn Cafe's High Altitude Pale Ale was pretty impressive. Instead of falling into the microbrew trap of seeing exactly how many hops can be shoved into a bottle of pale ale, it balanced the strong Centennial hops with some malt.
Don't get me wrong, it was still aggressive like a New Zealand rugby player, but it had a great clean finish... and a really pretty copper color.
