Honeymoon Wheat ale
Blue Corn Cafe, Santa Fe, NM
The first beer I tried at Blue Corn Cafe was the best of the bunch. Which is unfortunate, really, because it's like riding the best rollercoaster at the amusement park first and being slightly let down by everything after it.
BUT, I shouldn't complain about anything in regards to the Honeymoon Wheat. It was so good I wanted to take a bath in it. This dry wheat ale had typical coriander, honey and orange flavors, but it balanced them amazingly; none overpowered the others and it rode the line between being citrusy and sweet perfectly.
According to the bartender at the Blue Corn Cafe, it goes great with green chile. This is a good thing, considering that every dish in that part of the world, including dessert, is served with green chile.
