The Cove Lounge in Chicago offers 28 bottled beers and four on tap. Of the bottled variety, Karlovacko (Car-La-Vatch-ko), a Croatian import, really stands out. For $3.50 you can get your hands on this brown bottled beauty.
It has a bit of a bite when you first taste it and strong character similar to that of Heineken, both in crisp taste and bold finish. It is really a standalone beer sharing the stage with nobody.
If you want you can pair it up with a nice bourbon or whiskey shot, but its complex flavor is not meant to be muffled by over-powering liquor.
