Lagunitas is a brewery based in Petaluma, CA who has made a really great Pilsener here! Many beers that call themselves “Pilsener” are a far cry from Czech originals they are supposedly based on. This is certainly not the case here!
The colour is a robust rich dark gold with a fine thick head. On the nose you get floral hints, not too strong, seems like the traditional Saaz hops. I loved the flavour; they really have done a great job at balancing this subtle style--if you like Pilsener Urquell, you will like this--although it seemed a little denser than that famous Czech beer.
