London Drinker 2008: packed with great beer
London Drinker 2008
London, UK
Little more than a month since attending the Battersea Beer Festival and it's time for my partially recovered liver to once again sample even more beers, this time at London Drinker 2008.
London Drinker is held at the Camden Centre just a few minutes walk from the new St Pancras International railway station. It was at last year's festival that I was approached by UNOB Supreme Leader, Ashley (no not in that way!) and ultimately hired as a London Beer Delegate.
The festival had on around 70 cask ales from the UK, although not all were available at any one time, a number of cask ciders and perries and some continental beers. As readers will know, I always start off with weaker beers, normally a mild, and gradually move up to the stronger beers. So this is what I had. Click for full reviews.
Batemans Dark Mild
B&T Shefford Old Strong
Dark Star Hophead. I think I probably have this at most beer festivals.
Matthews Bob Wall
Fox Cerberus Norfolk Stout
Crouch Vale Millennium Gold
Bottle Brook Russian Imperial Stout
And so it was time to stagger off home from London Drinker 2008. I woke up in my own bed the following morning, so I guess I must have made it.
