Well, firstly I'll describe the McKenna's Bar location. It is located on the shores of Lough Neagh (the biggest fresh water lake in the British Isles) in Northern Ireland, between the towns of Antrim and Crumlin. Why is this important, you ask?
Well, it is secluded for one and the scenery is absolutely fantastic as well. The seclusion is important, as the bar as been stuck in its own time period. (Usually an insult, but this time it's good! As it has compltely skipped the current fad of doing bars up with furnishings from Ikea.)
Some people would say that as it's secluded, no-one would ever go to it. But quite the opposite, McKenna's Bar usually attracts a fair amount of locals as well as newcomers who have heard of its reputation.
As touched on before, McKenna's Bar has a sizeable amount of locals going to it. And this adds to the charm of the place immensely. It could be claimed that everyone knows your name in McKenna's!

McKenna's Bar is one of the last true Irish bars and proof of this is in the creaminess of its Guinness and the craic to be had.
