It has a great aroma, good esters producing a feisty front with a willowy finish.
When the rep asked me what I thought, I embarrassed myself a little by being honest; "Smells like bratwurst." It was the first thing that came to mind and I wasn't hungry... but I do like bratwurst. The rep didn't seem to mind as she smiled, then poured a cup for herself, refilled ours and gave us a "Cheers."
It must have been the spices: anyway, I was trying to think outside the box a little, since I know Mendocino County advocates the use of medicinal marijuana (had to fit that in somehow, read what you want into it). Maybe she didn't even hear what I said.
Mendocino's Summer seasonal White Ale is delicious unfiltered American wheat ale that bridges the gap to Belgian white ale.
