Midnight Sun Espresso stout
Yukon Brewing
So many of the microbrew stouts tend to be thin affairs, so I was not surprised, although a tad disappointed, to find that this beer did not buck that trend. It's not Coke-thin, but almost.
However, it sneaked up on me and as I was preparing myself to write a "Meh" type review, this beer has wormed its way into my good books.

I can still taste it, 15 minutes after the final sip. Its alcohol presence (6.2% ABV) is warming my guts. The coffee presence is strong, though not overpowering as it can be in some beers.
It's slightly sweet without being cloying and has refreshed me perfectly on a warm, somewhat humid evening. The big surprise was that I could buy this in Quebec, in the SAQ at Fairview shopping centre just outside Montreal. Recommended, if you like coffee stout and can find it.
