Andrew Schanel explores the fascinating history of New Jersey breweries, now no longer with us

Andrew Schanel will sort you out all right... if you don't make the vig.
Our New Jersey beer guide is going to put the beer of that state on the map, in the way that The Sopranos has awakened the world to the joys of Jersey's organised crime.
You won't need to whack anybody, flirt with a gorgeous psychiatrist, buy and sell dodgy real estate or sell your soul to the Devil to enjoy NJ beer!
We have a man who will do all that for you. Probably.
His name is Andrew Schanel and, as you'll see, he's a made man in the Jersey drinking scene.
If you think you're big enough to move in on Andrew's territory, BadaBing!
Just go to our Beer Delegates page and, if you make the vig every week, we might bring you into the family!
Read on for his application speech.
New Jersey is an extremely diverse state with its landscapes, its people, and yep, its beer. Brewers here faithfully create loads of styles, from Kellerbier to Belgian Wit, to the best ESB this side of the Atlantic.
And all of these excellent examples are brewed under the looming shadow of one of the country's biggest macros.
In my spare
time I enjoy visiting this great state's micros and making my
own beer as well!
So all jersey jokes aside, I am willing to traverse all exits of the turnpike to find something from Jersey that actually smells good...
If you know the beer scene, in Jersey or anywhere else and would like to be involved, remember! It's easy.
Just go to our Beer Delegates page and fill out the application form. You'll be filling Andrew's concrete shoes in no time.
