Jimmy Weasel reviews Blackrock homebrew beer
It's widespread, but is Tooheys New beer just another good reason to brew at home? asks Jimmy Weasel
Anita Craw says Carlton's Pure Blonde is all the fun without any of the guilt after the affair is over
READER REVIEW! Karena Miller of Christchurch, NZ says Toohey's Extra Dry is the first drink past her lips when she gets off the plane
Once we began our NSW Australia beer guide, we realised how big the beer world really is.

Anita Craw is our Beer Delegate for New South Wales. She's passionate about beer and believes that more women should be! More power to your elbow, Anita.
With the addition of this guide, The United Nations of Beer is now really beginning to feel like a global project, with representation on five continents!
We now have Beer Delegates in Asia, Oceania, Europe and North and South America.
So
a warm G'day! is extended to Anita Craw, our NSW
Australia beer guide.
Coming from the UK, where every bloody pub is manned by at least one Australian, who in addition to rubbing it in about the cricket, rugby etc. cleans up with all the local talent (I'm not at all bitter. Ed), it's nice to know that sometimes, they work in pubs at home too!
Anita has been learning beer from the inside by working with it and, as you'll see from her speech, believes that more women ought to give it a chance.
Good point! Thanks Anita. We're delighted you gave US a chance.
For several years I have pulled and swirled the glass, working the beer. I have admired and sampled many brews. I more than appreciate beer. To me, beer is art.
From the initial concept of the brew to the method of delivery, it all comes down to satisfying the consumer. Beer is not just beer, just as a bonsai is not a cactus. They all take their own forms and flavours and appeal to different audiences.
This is why I step up to being a NSW Beer Delegate. I see so many women waste away on bad house wine and harsh vodka all because it is the "more feminine choice". What's so bad about beer? Break social standards. Go against the rules.
Beer is so varied in flavour, from alcoholic
ginger beer to
honey flavoured. It's all out there. Just like men, don't take the
first that comes along and be left with the bad aftertaste,
go out and
sample a few. Find one that gives you comfort in the moment.
You don't need to push the limits with beer. You can have one and then walk away, as it will be there when you return. Trusty and steady. So being a Beer Delegate, I hope to enlighten those from a woman's perspective about Beers of the World to help you find your flavour.
Have a look at our Beer Delegate page for details and an application form.
