Odell Brewing Brett Barrel Red: tasted on tap
Odell Brewing, Fort Collins, CO
The "Mystery Beer" on the sampler turned out to be the Brett Barrel Red. It is oak barrel aged with wild yeast and has a smoky, dessert wine flavor that almost reminded me more of port than beer (which makes sense with the 12.5% ABV).
I drank my sample post haste, and then my neighbor's while they were in the bathroom. Life Lesson: Never turn your back on a Sicilian 1. Period and 2. Especially in a tasting room.
