Olde Towne Hefeweizen review
Submitted
by Mike Monin
Just recently I tried an Olde Towne Hefe weizen,
which is brewed right here in Huntsville
Alabama at the Olde
Town
Brewery.
I can say it pours a hazy pumpkin orange color with a nice typical Weizen texture.
The
aroma has moderate smell of
wheat, bananas and other
spices. Not overly sweet to the nose and fairly well-balanced.
The flavor has light bananas at first, with a light fruit sweetness, moving to a banana lingering sweetness marked by cinnamon and clove.
Decent body. Not too cloying or sticky. Lingering and medium. Pretty good really.
If you are a Weizen drinker then I would reccomend at least trying this beer if it's available in your area.
