Your first experience with an Ommegang brew should be as sophisticated and aged as their brewing wisdom. This exquisite blend of 98% thick, malty ale and 2% cherry lambic gives this beer not only unique taste and texture, but also a high alcohol content at 9.8% ABV.
With this much thought put into a single bottle, there is no more a fitting name for it than Three Philosophers: Belgian Style Blend. This is the perfect beer to finish off the night with.
It is full-bodied and sweet, which allows it to go well with desserts, but still be balanced enough to drink throughout a meal. This is my third favorite of the Ommegang Brewery line.
