Original Ring Thing

Original Ring Thing

Until now, stupid bottle opening tricks were strictly confined to the young and those with excellent dental insurance. We have all known somebody who was able to open a bottle with their teeth, or their thumb, or some other part of the body not usually known for its ability to pry metal away from glass.
Few of us have gone back to check on the health of these people in later years, but my guess is that their teeth did not thank them in the long run.
There are other emergency measures that can be deployed in the event of forgetting a bottle opener. My fall-back was always to lever up the edge of the cap with a key, but this is slow work that can leave you locked out of your house if you're unlucky. A solid table edge works well, if you are not attached to the table.
The Original Ring Thing, available from those wizards of geeketry at ThinkGeek, is something new. It literally puts the power to open bottles into the palm of your hand, provided you follow instructions.
Once you have this baby, you can take all of those non-functional rings that have been cluttering up your fingers and pawn them to buy beer.
