I got accosted by a young lady at the bar during the Vermont Beer Festival who insisted that I try Otteroo.
This beer was part of Otter Creek's special 'World Tour' series, offering beers of different styles apparently famous for being brewed in world locations.
Perhaps Otteroo is typical of Australian beers. However, I found it more like what North American brewers call "Scotch" ale, a syrupy sweet dark brown concoction.
Mine did not so much caress the throat as make me long for another IPA to get the sweet caramel taste out of my mouth.
