On to the Plaza Porter, a full-bodied dark beer with the expected chocolate and espresso tones. It had a really nice, smooth aroma and a clean mouth feel, but again wasn't anything terribly original.
It's supposed to go well with the spicy Southwest cuisine, but at 5.5% ABV and $4 a pint I wouldn't recommend chugging it to cool down a hot tamale mouth.
