My next visit in Sacramento was Pyramid Alehouse which does have a (rarely used) brewhouse, but unfortunately is essentially a tied house of the Pyramid Brewery in Berkeley.
The brewer visits once a month or so to brew a special batch. All the beers are standard Pyramid beers and not really remarkable.
The sampler sets are large (6 ounces) and $6.95 if you select. Seemed like a lot of beer to me but reasonably priced. Better for sharing.
The Thunderhead IPA was my favourite but at 67 IBU’s, the hop bomb description is not really appropriate.
Order early because the server I got was helpful, but my beers were taking more than 10 minutes to get to my table.
