Jane Turner is our Beer Delegate for Queensland. And Adele's sister. What a small world it is!
Our QLD Australia beer guide has had to go on hold for quite a while.
Since we began redesigning the UNOB site, we've been busier than a one-legged platypus in a 100m freestyle race. And that's pretty busy, let me tell you.
Once Jane Turner got in touch, we knew she was perfect for our purposes.
The fact that she's a beer lover who moved to Australia merely to own a beer fridge (she has multiple fridges now, apparently) speaks volumes about her dedication to the cause!
And the application speech swung the deal.
Jane's proposal speech:
This is a bit quirky, but I moved from big city London, UK, to regional Australia (without having ever visted this town) on the sole basis I wanted a beer fridge.
OK, yeah, it was a drastic move, but I now have three beer fridges and have never been happier in my life.
(And of course, there's
the Queensland
weather and lifestyle to consider, too!)
I remember distinctly my first Queensland beer, XXXX Gold, brewed in Brisbane. The smoothest beer I've ever tasted and icy cold. I rarely stock anything else in my beer fridge... but that's another story.
We insist on seeing the fridges!
