Quebec beer tasting night
"Way too ambitious" is a fair description of our first Quebec beer night. We started the evening with 40+ bottles of around 25 different beers stuffed into every orifice of our overworked fridge.
The mission (and five of us chose to accept it) was to try every single one before crashing, or passing, out for the night. We certainly enjoyed ourselves and made a dent in the stock, but we could only manage to get a dozen reviews on camera.
Still, twelve reviews in one Quebec beer tasting night is not bad going: and I've had a lot of fun reviewing the leftovers ever since!
In hindsight, we fed everybody too well. Bar snacks should have been served all night, instead of a big meal before the board games began. (Yes, we played Beyond Balderdash too.)
No more room for beer dented everybody's enthusiasm... It's hard to get excited about a beer when what you really need is five minutes with a stomach pump!
Editing down over an hour of footage, I ended up with more than ten minutes; so to make it easier to watch, I've split the video review section in two.
A very brief summary of comments made follows: where there's a full review elsewhere on the site (eventually all twelve will be reviewed in full), I've hyperlinked to it.
