Red Rack ale: the people who make this Woodstock's best seller haven't tried the stout
The final beer I tried at Woodstock Inn and Brewery, Red Rack ale came with my dinner and did a good job of accompanying the Salmon Wellington.
Woodstock claims this has a good hop and malt balance and I must agree. It's clean, crisp and refreshing, smells decent and is one of the better North American red ales I've tried to date.
That said, it's really nothing special. It's apparently their best seller. Amazing, from the company that brought you Old Man Oatmeal stout, which is ten times more impressive. Still, you gotta like stout I guess. Red Rack ale is decent.
