Road Runner IPA from Blue Corn Cafe: if you like tasting a beer 72 hours after you drink it...
Road Runner IPA
Blue Corn Cafe, Santa Fe, NM
And then there was the Road Runner IPA. The barkeep told me it wouldn't "make me burp hops for days like some other micro IPAs." He was wrong. With Cascade, Centennial and Columbus hops all bumping around together in the brew, it was the polar opposite of the High Altitude Pale.
Instead of mixing the hop and pine flavors it was hops, hops and more hops all the way. It used to be a seasonal ale, but it became so popular that the Blue Corn Cafe brews it year-round.
Apparently there are a lot of people in Santa Fe who enjoy still tasting their beer 72 hours after they drank it.
