The Rock Bottom Denver sampler includes a Brewmaster's Choice that this particular evening was the Velvet Porter.

I'll preface the following statements with a disclaimer that I don't like smoky flavors in my beer in general, so I may be biased against this from the git-go.

That said, if you could milk a pig, and if the pig smoked stogies for twenty years, the gross pig-milk that came out would taste just like this beer.

The flavors were an unruly combination of sausage and old cigarette smoke. Kind of like my grandma. And "It tastes like Grandma" is never a good thing to say about a beer. Ever.
