Sam Adams discontinued their White Ale? WTF?!

Sam Adams: no more White Ale for you, Charlie
I live in southern California and dont get to see the seasons change as do most Americans, so being the beer drinker that I am I base the changing of the seasons on the new arrivals of beer.
In the fall the Blue Moon Harvest Moon Pumpkin Ale as well as Sam Adams Oktoberfest mark the autum season and in the winter Sierra Nevada's Celebration Ale toasts the holidays. In the spring my favorite beer usually hits the stores in mid february and ushers in the new arriving season, Samuel Adams White Ale. (Just thinking of the beer makes me smile)
This season I noticed the ads for their new seasonal brew, Nobil Pils, which I tried but didn't like too much. I assumed that this was just a brief change and that the White Ales would be ready and chilled in the beer isle by March.
For the next couple of weeks as I would get to the beer section I saw all my favorites, the homie Corona always looking good, my good buddy from Holland Heineken, but instead of my favorite spring time ale I saw an odd intruder in its place. The age of the Nobil Pils had arrived.
To my astonishment I found out that Sam Adams discontinued one of my all time favorite beers. (cuz lets face it, its almost impossbile to say what your absolute favorite beer is) I was devestated. I scrambled to try and find a store that may have a twelve pack of white ale but no luck. I even contacted the brewery itself and was told that Sam Adams will no longer be making the White Ale.
The words echoed in my head for twenty minutes. The spring will never be the same for me. So long White Ale, thanks for the memories.
